The window Energy Rating has being launched some time ago . By using information contained on the label consumers can reliably compare one product with another and make informed decisions regarding the energy performance of a window.

The A being the best rating and the G being the worst similar to the labeling used on white goods. The label gives a rating based on the performance of the whole window (frame and window) and therefore allow fair comparison of the window with another.

In the Uk there there is a Energy Saving registered logo which has a trade mark. The non-profit making organisation is backed by the Government. Its aim is to cut emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) which is the main greenhouse gas causing climate change.

Window that have a C or higher rating are eligible to be endorsed by Energy Saving Trust and use there logo. (Subject to approval)
